DAMN fiddly sequins!! They were so small I was picking them up with tweezers to glue them onto the costume and they kept popping out of the tweezers left right and centre… talk about frustrating!! But I persisted and they are now all on the costume… and BOY does it sparkle
Training and dieting is going well for the Nationals… as per usual this close to comp stress sets in and all you want to do is eat… it is an hourly battle to stay on track, but you do it because you know the results are going to be worth it. There would be nothing worse than placing or not placing and wondering if you could have done better if you hadn’t have given into the cravings. One way I manage is to ‘browse’ the temptation aisles of the supermarket and just look at the stuff I can have comp night. Of course you never end up eating half the stuff you want to eat… there isn’t enough room!!
Tomorrow is posing and routine practise at the gym. I took yesterday off work as my Mum was having a major operation (it is successful and she is already sitting up in bed chatting to everyone!!). Spent most of the morning in my sanctuary… the gym. First with training, and then practising my routine. The upstairs room was taken so I had to do it in the gym, but it’s great practise as it gets you used to people looking at you. My coach says that the routine is coming along well and look 100% on how I had been doing it before. I’ve changed it up a bit because there were a lot of twists and turns, and when your legs are shaking, it’s hard to keep your balance. I have enough issues with my balance without purposefully throwing myself off!! So I’m feeling a lot more confident with it all. So it is onwards and upwards to the Nationals!!Hopefully some of my friends going will have cameras and will take some shots for me, and then I can post them.Must dash and get to work now!!
