Hello everyone!!
So sorry for my lack of posting yesterday… it was such a busy day!! Besides, when you’re water loading and having to drink over 6 litres of water, it doesn’t leave time for much else as you constantly have a water bottle in your hand and attached to your lips… LOL!!
But I did find the time to finish off my costume and will be taking it down to the gym today for the ‘once-over’ from Coach.
So yesterday I got up and went to the gym first thing so that Coach could see me before I ate and then give me my instructions for the day. I trained and then did some routine and posing practise and then had some breaky. Coach said the version of the routine I did yesterday was the best he had see me do yet, so I am getting somewhere!! I made a concious effort not to rush to get into each pose and think about what I was doing before I did it which seemed to work really well!!
Then it was off shopping, and I got home about 12.30pm, then the rest of the day I spent working on my costume. I was going to get on the internet last night, but it was taken over by the teenager of the house on chat!! Not much chance there!! Even though it is my computer, I still didn’t kick her off… LOL!! Besides, I don’t know how much sense I would have made because you always get a bit fuzzy brained when you drink so much water. I remember last year I drank a few litres before I got on the plane (note to self: DON’T fly again on water loading day… LOL!!) and because I had drunk so much water in a short amount of time I actually got “water drunk”. This is where you actually feel drunk… it was the most bizarre feeling!!
So today it is off down the gym to see Coach and then train, then more routine practise, then back home to prepare meals, then pop down to the local shopping complex to get my little sis her birthday pressie, then back home to relax a bit, then off to Mum’s to meet her before we head off to the airport to pick up little sis and Joel… CAN’T WAIT!!
Then it will be home to HOPEFULLY sleep… LOL!!
Thanks so much for all your well-wishes… they mean so much to me!!
Love Rae xxx
Don’t let yourself get too comfortable. For comfort can drain you of the ambition to follow your most treasured dreams.
It is great to be pleased with where you are and with how far you’ve come. Yet even the most satisfying achievements begin to lose their value to you as soon as they are completed.
It is great to spend your time in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. Yet there is so much more to life than pleasure and comfort.
You are at your best when you are moving toward a meaningful, positive and ambitious goal. As each goal is reached, use the position you’ve attained to reach even higher.
No matter how delicious, satisfying, and filling your most recent meal may have been, before long you will need to eat again. Learn to see achievement in the same way.
For just as food sustains your body, achievement helps to sustain your spirit. As you work toward a worthy goal, you more fully become the best you can be.
You’ve already made much progress. Reach ever higher, and keep that golden momentum going.
