Well didn’t the weekend just fly by… or was that just me?!
I cannot believe I have been on the phone this week starting to organise what we are all doing on Christmas Day. Luckily I have been quite organised this year and have already bought 4 pressies, so I am over half way. It’s a great feeling knowing that I am a little more organised this year and won’t be running around shopping madly the week before! It is probably going to be a quiet orphan’s Christmas out at my sister’s place this year, but I will be with some of the people I love the most in the world, so how can it not be a great day.
Work has finally eased off a bit. My boss was unaware of just exactly the workload I had on my plate so when I sucked it up and went and told him I was feeling overwhelmed, he immediately set about fixing it. My work rocks!! I am thoroughly loving the challenge of being a Test Analyst and am thriving in this role. Both my Team Leader and Manager Once Removed have had really good feedback about my performance. That kind of feedback definitely drives you more.
Training has been going well and I am loving it all. I made myself a weights room playlist on the weekend and used it for the first time today. I am sure it is why I went up with some weights. I have my days though when I don’t want music driving me and just like the silence (well as silent as a gym can be), so whether or not I use my iPod depends on my mood. I have been known to have my iPod earphones in while in the gym and not have the actual iPod turned on. I’d be training and Coach, who knew I did this sometimes, would come past and quietly ask if the music was on. If I said a loud “What?!” and pulled an earphone out to hear him repeat what he said, he knew it was on. If he just got a little smile in return, he would smirk and walk away knowing I had my “Do not disturb” firmly in place.
I’ve got a massage appointment on Thursday night that I am looking forward to. Think I will need to get Sheldon to get into my upper back this time. Then it’s off to the naturopath for my next appointment on Saturday before heading off to a seminar and sleepover with Michelle. Can’t wait for the weekend!
Anyway, better get off the computer and get my meals sorted for tomorrow. Have a great night… keep training hard and eating well!
